WHU team Vs Hull City?
Adrian

Byram Fonte Collins Masuaku

Noble Kouyate

Ayew Lanzini Snodgrass (on the LEFT)

Carroll

Subs: Randolph Cresswell Nordveit Fernandes Feghouli Fletcher Quina

That central defence pairing looks dodgy as fuck though. Possibly Kouyate at the back for Collins, and start Fernandes in the middle of the field.

Re: WHU team Vs Hull City?
Fraser, I agree that Carroll can cause mayhem on a party and sometimes in the box if there are plenty of pressure/crosses.

But we never put pressure on any team the first 60 mins or so.
He is slow as fuck and can't beat a defender on the ground.
Start with Carroll is like starting with 10 players.

Keep Dreaming...Fletcher ahead of AC.. One scores goals, causes mayhem and also defends well the other does what?

And the slowest centre back pairing in history

Not for me..

It's hard for me to build up any sense of enthusiasm

We will drift to the end of this awful season probably gaining just enough points to avoid relegation

We have dropped backwards at an alarming rate

0-5 to us then!

If j arthur plays he will cost us at LEAST one goal

Re: WHU team Vs Hull City?
Well if he's dropping under performers, he might be better off going for:

Adrian
Byram Fonte Collins Arthur
Noble Kouyate Fernandes
Ayew Lanzini
Carroll

I quite like Kouyate's pace at the back, however, and it's surely a game to see what Snodgrass can do, so I'd go with Justin P's team myself. Either way, Cresswell has to be benched.

More than enough with that team

Time to drop under performers Slav

I'm guessing Noble is back from his 'dead leg'?

Re: WHU team Vs Hull City?
I really want Fernandes to be the one signing we got right.

He did look decent against Leicester but we still do not really know. Leicester definitely tired after 60 mins as their midweek CL extertions took a hold. Well IMO it looked that way.

Lets see Fernandes start a few games against teams who are 100% all game. My take on him is that he just lacks the physicality which he should hopefully develop as he grows older.

Would be great if he could do the growing up now though but I suspect he will struggle in some games with the physical side. We shall see. We have little choice Saturday now and his mobility will be useful. The alternative is Nordtveit in his preferred midfield holding role. But him and Noble may not be the quickest duo in the midfield "engine room". They could be equivalent to Trotters Independent Trading 3 wheeler van in terms of speed ? :-)

I really hope Fernandes starts, I thought he looked good for his little bit against Leicester and would like to see more...

Ayew starts and scores but still does not make peoples teams for the next game?

I agree. He's got an eye for goal and we need him in the box as often as possible. Seems to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time, lately.

Re: WHU team Vs Hull City?
Fonte likes to hoof it? Absolute rubbish.

I've seen him take it forward hinself/play short passes way more than any of our other centre backs.

Re: WHU team Vs Hull City?
That was a bit radical by Scotland - playing a left footed player on the left wing. Weird.
